Hi Bob,
My wife and I have been fans of yours since the early 1980’s. A friend of mine told me about your website. I see you are looking for a sponsor? How are things going with that?
We had a nice talk with you after you won the Jet Car Nationals at Dragway Park in 1988. It was an awesome show! We bought a couple of “Blast off with Bogus” t-shirts that weekend. Just recently we were going through some memorabilia and also found a Coca-Cola Cavalcade of Stars poster that has your Dodge Charger funny car on it from the early ‘80s. We were wondering if you would be attending the Mopar Nationals in Grand Bend this year. We would love to have these items autographed and were wondering if possible could we hook up with you to do so?
Thanks a lot,

Hi Rick,
Thanks for the note. Let me answer the last question first. I will be at the Mopar Nationals for the Saturday show. Actually, I’ll be there to show our sport off to a couple of executives who will be coming in from Montreal. That kind of answers your first question of how we are doing. Although we have not signed a deal yet, there has been some genuine interest from a number of companies. Jory, our marketing director, has been successful in creating some intelligent dialogue with corporate execs. We are more optimistic now, then when we started, that we do indeed have a viable marketing tool and Jory has developed a technique that gets our message to the right people. Now, more than ever, timing will become an important piece of the puzzle.
Anyhow, it’s nice to hear from you. Bruce Mehlenbacher, who was the track manager at Cayuga for many years, once told me, when I questioned if our Northern Force team was being promoted too much, that “Not everyone comes out to see you win. Some will purchase a ticket just to see you get beat!” Thanks to you and your wife for being in the former group.
When you are at the track on Saturday for the Grand Bend event please call my cell 519.525.6825 and we’ll get together.
Take Care,
