NITRO JAM CHAMP TO MAKE COMMUNITY APPEARANCE
DEC 3
On Wednesday July 17th Community Living London’s Access Summer Leisure Program will welcome the defending champions of the MOPAR Nitro Jam Nationals, Northern Force Racing. Real race car driver Jory Elliott and his famous race car will give young participants of the Leisure Program an opportunity to see a race car, have their photos taken with it and get autographs. The event will take place in two parts of the day; at Ashley Oaks Elementary School from 10-11am and at Sir Frederick Banting Secondary School from 1-2pm.
Northern Force Racing, in partnership with major sponsor Project Track Champion Access Motorsports, has dedicated its racing efforts to that of raising awareness about the barriers that exist for people with disabilities and illnesses when attending motorsports events. Together they are working to spread the word about the need for accessible viewing areas and amenities at racing facilities throughout North America.
"As a race team chosen to bring awareness to and help eliminate the barriers that exist for those with disabilities and illnesses when attending motorsports events, we wanted to do something in our local community revolving around our upcoming event in Grand Bend, to give something back to the people this team represents," said Jory Elliott. "Given the work Community Living London does on a daily basis to combat these same issues on a broader scale, and the fact that they have their summer camps program going on in the weeks leading up to our biggest race of the season, it just became very evident that this was a natural fit for us. And I can tell you there aren’t any other events this year that we'll be more excited for as a team than this one.
"As defending event champions of the MOPAR Nitro Jam Nationals in Grand Bend, Ontario, July 19-21, Northern Force Racing is teaming with Community Living London to help raise more awareness within the local motorsports community, as well as to give something back to the community they live and work in. At each location on the 17th, members of the CLL community will have the opportunity to enter a raffle for which the grand prize will be four tickets to this year’s MOPAR event in Grand Bend, as well as round-trip transportation from London to the race. A very special thank you goes out to great companies such as MOPAR for donating event tickets, and to Ohsweken Speedway and Clearshot Collision and Custom Center, who teamed up to cover the cost of the assisted transportation to and from the race.
